The FIBA Africa regional workplace has confirmed that Uganda will now not host the qualifier tournaments for the 2026 FIBA U18 AfroBasket tournaments for Zone 5 groups.
Each tournaments have been initially scheduled to happen in Kampala, Uganda from 14 to 21 June.
Nonetheless, FIBA Africa has now introduced that Cairo, Egypt will host the regional qualifier from 23-29 July.
Collaborating nationwide groups within the ladies' event embrace hosts Egypt, Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania.
The taking part nationwide groups within the boys' event are Egypt (hosts), Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.
